UPDATE: I Told You So: 'Obama: Legalize illegals to get them health care'

I noted back in 2009 when the Health Care debate was going on that 'What they are not telling you is that once they have stuck us all with more expensive 'free' health care, they are going to grant all of the illegal aliens not only legal status, but also citizenship. And with Citizenship, they will surely get free health care.' (Link) This prediction was confirmed later in 2009 by President Obama himself:

Simply put, this is how Democrats can claim that no illegal aliens are going to receive US Health care, because they plan to legalize all of them:

 Now we have Idiot Politician of the Day, Democrat Congressman Jared Polis from Colorado oddly declaring that the problem with Obamacare (as if there is only one) is that Obamacare does not cover illegal aliens.

Illegal immigrants are one of the few categories of people in the U.S. who aren’t subjected to Obamacare’s individual mandate requiring all people to have health insurance coverage. They also aren’t eligible for taxpayer subsidies to buy insurance on the health exchanges, nor are they supposed to be getting assistance under Medicaid.

But Mr. Polis said leaving them outside of the health mandate means that they end up using emergency care, but don’t end up paying their own bills — leaving the rest of the country to pick up those costs. - Washington Post

Of course what he does not explain is how most of the illegal aliens in the country if legalized will be net takers of the system.Worse, many 'legalized' illegal aliens would not purchase medical insurance, instead taking advantage of the system in much of the same way as they do now. As it is, they have access to free health care for their children. When I was living in DC, I had asked the doctor, how come they do not have to pay a co-pay like everyone else? The response was that if they had to pay ANYTHING, they wouldn't bring their children to the doctor. Good luck getting them to pay anything legalized or not. Legalization will just increase how much money the Government gives them each month...

Simply Put - A path to citizenship for Illegal Aliens is AMNESTY

Senator Marco Rubio was out on the Sunday talk shows stating that the draft Illegal alien immigration bill about to be dropped on the US Senate is not amnesty.

This is a lie if there is any path to citizenship in the bill for illegal aliens. You can legalize them, give them the right to work and this alone will solve the issue at hand of them being in the country already, illegally. 

There is no reason to put citizenship on the table. The illegal alien issue can be solved solely by providing a path to legal residency. It is fiction to say that those here will simply be put at the end of the line as many of them could not even get in line to come here if they had stayed in their own counter.

Personally I think they should all be deported, but as a realist, if this is not possible, then fine offer some path to legalization for those who have not committed crimes other than illegal entry and working without authorization. And for the others, show them the door. We have enough criminals here already.

Citizenship is a valuable reward for those who come here legally and agree to live by our rules. We should not give this reward away so cheaply.

As for Senator Rubio and any other Republican who backs this POS legislation, don't count on my vote for President. I'd just assume not vote at all.

Simply put, we need to have immigration rules. For them to mean anything, we need to ensure that the rules are respected and to ensure that, they need to be enforced.

The alternative is the situation that we have now. There is no fear of breaking immigration law. There is little fear of being caught and even if they are caught, there are many examples of people being set free to continue living (and working) here illegally.

Anyway, if the country is so willing to legalize illegal aliens, why not just annex Mexico. Then we can offer citizenship to all Mexicans, not just those who decided to violate our immigration laws.

I read the following by financial commentator Jim Rogers and it really fits with what I think has been happening for the last couple of years:

The United States all of a sudden has no shortage of irresponsible people. Nothing is anyone's fault anymore. Too many demand free money and more from the Government. And all too often Liberals and even Conservatives are giving it to them, in exchange for votes at election time.

Don't get me wrong, some people do legitimately deserve assistance, but way less than we are supporting now. And none of these people are going to help build a better country. It is the saver who invest and it is investment that drivers our country and others to an ever better future. It is also savings and investment that improves the welfare of many. Take the 'evil' oil companies. If they really were making so much money and were such cash cows, why not say 'me too' and put some money into these corporations? You can do direct investing in ExxonMobil for as little as $250. Is that too much money, well that is the point of saving. You save until you have enough to buy what you want. Point to someone who has no money and I bet I can point to their way too expensive sneakers, sunglasses, clothing, car, gadgets, vacations, etc... that they also don't have money for but somehow manage to get anyway.

Worse, many of them are liable to have children that will also require support for most of their lives. The Democrats are counting on this, because these people will continues to be their base voters for years to come. 

This is also why the Democrats are pushing to legalize illegal aliens and provide them with a 'Path to Citizenship'. Many of these illegal aliens are 'High Needs' parents. It does not mean that there is something wrong with their children or that their children need special care. Instead, it is the parents that need to be told and reminded about everything about being a good parent to their children. This was as explained to me by a pediatrician in Washington, DC. My kid's first pediatrician. This was during a checkup where she was advising us that she was leaving because she was being burned out due to all the high needs parents she had to deal with. It just so happened that these 'high needs' parents bills were being paid by tax payers. Even the co-pay. It was not that the parents did not have $10, $15 or even $20 to pay for the ability to take their kid to the doctor. It was simply because if they did have to pay anything, they would not take their kid to see a doctor. 

This is the heart of the problem. And this problem will only grow until we stop paying out like a broken ATM.

Americans Being Treated Worse Than Illegal Aliens - Immigration

Talk about being unequal before the law. Americans are forced to go through evermore humiliating inspection and investigation at the border, while millions of illegal aliens bypassed our border controls and now enjoy near immunity when it comes to being held to account for violating our immigration laws:

Now compare this with how illegal aliens are free to roam the country with little fear of arrest, even able to appear before Congress.

Breitbart News has learned that one of the witnesses at the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings on immigration next week will be outspoken illegal immigrant Jose Antonio Vargas--who will be seated at the same table as Chris Crane, leader of the Immigrations and Customs Enforcement employees’ union that is suing the government over Obama administration rules that make it very difficult for ICE agents to arrest illegal immigrants. - Breitbart.com

Jose Antonio Vargas is not just an illegal alien, he has also been caught with bogus documents and has been let go. Imagine what would happen if you were caught with bogus documents these days. Sure he came here when he was twelve so technically you could blame his immigration problems on his parents, but the Government is not going to blame, or punish, them either.

The inequality does not stop at the border either. In order to get a Green Card for my wife I agreed to be fully responsible for her. She is not eligible f or unemployment or welfare until she performs 40 quarters (10 years) of full-time work. In addition, there was the physical, the interviews, the multiple meeting and hours of time wasted not to mention well over $1,000 in fees. 

Any legalization of illegal aliens best come with a boatload of requirements like I was forced to sign. The kicker was that if we got divorced after two years, she would get to stay and I would still be fully responsible. You can bet that the Obama Administration is planning to give legalized illegal-aliens free health care (At least this is my prediction). Funny how they don't do that for legal immigrants even banning access as part of a precondition for entry.

Idiot Politician of the Day - Democrat Congressman John Conyers

Here we have a member of Congress not only not upholding the law, but also advocating the destruction of the rule of law. This is simply inexcusable.

Opening the first immigration hearing of the new Congress, the top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee warned his colleagues not to use the term "illegal immigrant" as the debate goes on.

"I hope no one uses the term illegal immigrants here today. Our citizens are not — the people in this country are not illegal. They are are out of status. They are new Americans that are immigrants," said Rep. John Conyers Jr., Michigan Democrat. - Washington Times

If this is the position of Democrats, then can they please explain why the rest of us, actual documented American citizens and documented residents and immigrants have to be subjected to what used to be considered protecting our borders but now only seems to be harassment, unfair and unequal treatment before the law. We might as well get rid of immigration at the airports and save the expense and hassle.

Everyone arriving by air and sea is pre-checked by immigration prior to starting travel to the US. So why do we have to be poked and prodded once we get here? Illegal aliens are not. Along with that, why are we subjected to a customs inspection? Do you think illegal aliens have to put up with this crap? Hell, legal immigrants are forgiven at the airport for all sorts of violations because they may not understand the law, while Americans are whacked with fines in the hundreds of dollars for simple violations of having with them sandwiches, made in Europe by their mom (As documented on one of the border reality shows. See another example here). You could say that the US Government is discriminating against US Citizens and legal residents compared to how they treat illegal aliens.

Idiot Politician of the Day - US Senator Robert Menendez

United States Senator for New Jersey is a very bad politician. I dare say that some of his bad behavior borders on the criminal. Just this week comes news that the bad Senator is being investigated for traveling to the Dominican Republic to take advantage of minor aged prostitutes.

Documents published online for the first time Thursday indicate that the FBI opened an inquiry into New Jersey Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez on August 1, 2012, focusing on repeated trips he took to the Dominican Republic with longtime campaign contributor and Miami eye doctor Salomon Melgen. TheDC reported in November that Menendez purchased the service of prostitutes in that Caribbean nation at a series of alcohol-fueled sex parties. - Daily Caller

Oddly enough, the Senator was on ABC News 'This Week' for a full hour and the host honored the Democrat by ignoring this latest embarrassing news and not bringing it up at all. You can bet that if the Senator was a Republican, that is all that we would have heard. Not surprisingly, this is not the only problem the Democrat-Party Senator is having to deal with. In addition to the underage prostitutes and unreported travel gifts, Senator Menendez also was exposed for having a registered sex offender who also happened to be an illegal alien working in his official office. Worse, the FBI was ordered not to arrest this illegal alien sex offender until after the election so as not to negatively impact his re-election.

Federal immigration agents were prepared to arrest an illegal immigrant and registered sex offender days before the November elections but were ordered by Washington to hold off after officials warned of “significant interest” from Congress and news organizations because the suspect was a volunteer intern for Sen. Robert Menendez, according to internal agency documents provided to Congress.

The Homeland Security Department said last month, when The Associated Press first disclosed the delayed arrest of Luis Abrahan Sanchez Zavaleta, that AP’s report was “categorically false. - Daily Caller

How many scandals, rules and laws does this Senator have to break before he is held to account.

Idiot Politician of the Day - New York Assemblywoman Michelle Schimel (D-Great Neck)

Today New York State pass new laws against lawful gun owners, pretending that they will prevent some kind of mass shooting. Idiot Politician of the Day, New York Assemblywoman Michelle Schimel (D-Great Neck) made this bold statement:

“Make no mistake about it, everyone. I repeat, make no mistake about it, the number of gun deaths in New York State will decrease because of the bold actions we take today," - CBS News

Lets see about that. It's not like New York State outlawed murder with this law. The last time I checked, it was already illegal for criminals to even touch a gun. But as I noted before, the Government has been looking the other way when they actually have evidence of a criminal violating existing gun laws, leaving them out loose on the streets, until they get caught committing other crimes. It seems that Assemblywoman Schimel has nothing to say about that unfortunate statistic. 

Assemblywoman Schimel however, had no problem in voting into law something that will turn tens of thousands of up to now law abiding New York State residents into criminals. Among other things, this law bans all magazines capable of holding more than 7 rounds of ammunition. That is basically all of them outside of those for the 1911 45 pistol.Personally I'm shocked they didn't pick 6 to F them as well. That will probably come next year after they pick up a criminal with one.

Restrict ammunition magazines to seven bullets, from the current national standard of 10. Current owners of higher-capacity magazines would have a year to sell them out of state. Someone caught with eight or more bullets in a magazine could face a misdemeanor charge. - CBS News

I suspect that this single part of the law will be the most widely ignored. Unfortunately, if the police want to get you for anything, they now have an easy excuse to arrest you.It is pretty convenient really to have all of the citizens criminals. Anyone can be arrested for anything.

Thank goodness that the Democrats taught us how to ignore laws. Laws against illegal drugs. Immigration laws. Tax evasion, campaign funding laws, and even enforcement of existing gun laws.

Too bad it is not supposed to work this way. And it is all thanks to crap politicians like New York Assemblywoman Michelle Schimel (D-Great Neck). Don't expect her to eat her words when her statement is proven wrong. It is not her fault. It's never their fault. Just like communism. There was nothing wrong with communism itself a supporter once told me. It was the people who failed to make it work...

I am all for reforming our laws to improve them to keep weapons out of the hands of those who should not have them as well as punishing criminals who break our gun laws. This law will actually hurt the chances of any real reform as it is being pushed as such. As I covered in a previous post, Democrats are our Gun Crime Problem, Democrats in the New York Assembly actually opposed increasing penalties for real gun criminals.

Crazy - "40 percent of deadly Illinois crashes involve drivers who don't have a license"

This is what happens when you do not fairly enforce the laws of our country. First you ignore the immigration laws. They you are forced to abandon enforcing driver licensing laws as well as drunk driving checkpoints, as special interest groups will accuse you of 'unfairly' targeting illegal aliens.

Lawmakers believe there are as many as 250,000 undocumented immigrants on Illinois roads and that more than 40 percent of deadly Illinois crashes involve drivers who don't have a license. - NBC Chicago

You can surely bet that a majority of those drivers did not have insurance either, not that is going to help any dead people. However, just how many accidents overall involve illegal aliens? 

Keep in mind that this is a group that generally has 'broken no laws' except our immigration laws, and driver laws,  and employment laws and taxation laws, and identity theft laws. It's not their fault, really. If you stupid Americans would just give them a little more..... they'll demand something else.

In the case of Illinois, they are going to give illegals drivers licenses. So that that the illegal aliens can be just like you and me, and the 9/11 hijackers.

Illegal Kinder Eggs and Illegal Aliens Learning to Fly...

You know, one thing that keeps Americans faith in their legal system is the belief that everyone is treated fairly. That said, the Obama Administration has been busy picking favorites. Americans are being harassed more and more, while at the same time our supposed leaders have been turning a blind eye when it comes to the offenses committed by their supporters and other interest groups, especially illegal aliens. Take the following two stories: Americans threatened with huge fines for daring to import chocolate eggs, available most everywhere else.

Chris Sweeney and his husband were driving home to Seattle after a recent trip to Vancouver when they were stopped at the border for more than two hours and threatened with thousands of dollars in fines for dangerous contraband in the trunk of their car. Their suspicious cargo? Half a dozen Kinder Surprise chocolate eggs, each filled with a tiny plastic toy - a childhood favourite in Canada but an illegal choking hazard in the United States. "I thought (the American border guard) had done his search and hadn't found anything, and he was joking with us," Sweeney, 35, told The Canadian Press in an interview Wednesday. "He wasn't joking." The popular German chocolate eggs are not sold in the U.S. because they are considered a choking hazard. They are also banned because the treats are considered adulterated food by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Sweeney said a border guard told him and his husband that they could be fined $2,500 per egg, and then ordered them to head to the port of entry, where they waited for more than two hours. "We really didn't know what was going to happen," he said. "I didn't know if maybe this was some really important thing that I just wasn't aware of and they were going to actually give us the fine of $15,000." But once inside, Sweeney said border staff later brushed off the offence and merely told them never to bring the Kinder Surprise eggs across the border again. - Canada.com

Illegal aliens learning to fly commercial Airplanes. No, not the 9/11 hijackers. This is going on today!

A loophole in U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulations allowed the agency to approve flight training for 25 illegal aliens at a Boston-area flight school owned by yet another illegal alien, according to the Government Accountability Office (GAO). Eight of the attendees had entered the United States illegally, while 17 had overstayed their visas, according to a GAO audit, CNSNews.com reports. Six of the illegals obtained pilot’s licenses. The discovery of the flight school issues began when local police — not federal authorities — stopped the school’s owner on a traffic violation and then were able to determine that he was an illegal alien, according to CNSNews. - Newsmax

Are you kidding me? Teaching and issuing pilot certificates to illegal aliens. I thought this lesson was learned after we taught the 9/11 hijackers how to fly. Clearly not. Because after all, heaven forbid we do anything like enforce US immigration law.Maybe the illegal aliens can bring some Kinder Eggs with them.

Total BS: "These young people should not be punished for their parents’ mistakes."

This week we had President Obama act to give illegal aliens amnesty and work permits. Their excuse is that they want to concentrate on deporting violent criminals. My first problem is that The Government is not following through in it's obligation to enforce the law. My second problem with this is that they even intend to permit criminals to stay, as long as they are not 'violent'. And given the way that these people lie, I am afraid to find out what their definition of 'violent' is. We already know that they like keeping illegal aliens who drive drunk around, at least until they kill someone. And where do they think these violent criminals come from? They are criminals first, and before they were criminals, they were merely an illegal alien.

My next problem is the propaganda being spouted in support of this action. Take Senator Durbin's comment:

The decision would, through administrative action, help many intended beneficiaries of legislation that has been stalled in Congress for a decade. The sponsor of the legislation, Senator Richard J. Durbin of Illinois, the No. 2 Senate Democrat, has argued that “these young people should not be punished for their parents’ mistakes.” - NY Times

I can buy that the children are not the guilty ones. But Senator Durbin, and his Democrat buddies have no intention of punishing the parents of these children either. Hell, he simply calls the actions of the parents to come here illegally 'mistakes'. No, a more accurate statement would be that 'these young people should not be punished for their parents’ crimes.' Their intention is to simply reward all of them, even the criminals, other than a couple token violent criminals which they will use as evidence of being tough on crime. That too is a joke, as we should be putting them in jail, instead of sending them back home to cause havoc there.

The real joke in all of this is that President Obama's actions are going to hurt his supporters the most. It is reported that not only will many illegal aliens be permitted to stay, but they will also be given work permits to compete for jobs against millions of Americans already out of work. The NY times story mentions that there are about 300,000 currently facing deportation proceedings that will be effected, but I suspect that that list will grow once illegal aliens figure out the best way to get in line to see a judge, to be excused from deportation and handed a work permit for a gift. After all, when you reward something, you get more of it. As it is, I have at least two friends overseas looking at ways to get a visa to live here. Clearly, they don't need one.

And remember, this action is all a blatant attempt to buy votes for the next election.

Illegal Alien Impact - Severe School Overcrowding

I live in Fairfax County Virginia. The local High School, Annandale High School has been suffering from overcrowding for a while. The Country is now shopping around 4 main options in dealing with the problem (link).

I had gone to a presentation back in December on the issue and the issue of illegal aliens came up. The response was that the school District was not allowed to investigate the impact of illegal aliens on school overcrowding and that they are prohibited from asking anyone about their legal status.

This is what happens when you mix politics into situations that need a clear understanding of the facts. Overcrowding is not the only issue Fairfax County Public Schools has to deal with concerning immigrants, including illegal aliens, as the county also has a problem with keeping white and black students in certain district schools that are being overrun with an unnatural influx of immigrants. you see, parents are going to believe politicians for only so long. During WWI, the Japanese knew that they were losing the war because the 'Great Victories' the Japanese were winning were ever closer to the homeland. Eventually people do figure out that they don't like what is going on. Constant school overcrowding is a definite warning sign.

Our politicians, especially our Democrat leaning ones, want to tell you that illegal aliens are not an issue and should be formally legalized and brought into our society. However, they are negatively impacting our communities in many small ways, both draining resources and packing our schools. These same politicians then pass laws requiring Government to ignore the problems created. We the people then suffer.

Our Congressman is Democrat Gerry Connolly. He is a direct contributing factor to this problem.

I don't know what else to say. It just seems that all our politicians are working overtime to wreck our neighborhoods. I am ready to fight back, and guess it is time to get more involved.

e-Verify - 'Work Authorization Confirmed'

Homeland Security announced yesterday that it is now possible for people to e-Verify themselves. the idea being that you can check to make sure that your e-Verify information is correct.

On Monday, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security launched E-Verify Self Check, which also is available in Colorado, Idaho, Mississippi, Virginia and the District of Columbia. It will be extended to all states by the end of the year.

"E-Verify is a smart, simple and effective tool that allows us to work with employers to help them maintain a legal workforce," Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said in a news release. "The E-Verify Self Check service will help protect workers and streamline the E-Verify process for businesses."

The initiative complements E-Verify by limiting bureaucratic hiccups and giving job applicants the opportunity to correct errors in Homeland Security and Social Security Administration databases that the system uses. - Tucson Sentinel

The E-Verify Self Check website is here Link (Not sure why they would use an impossibly long url) and it unsurprisingly confirmed that my information is correct and that I am authorized to work in the US.

So we have one less reason to not have all employers in the US use E-Verify to confirm that people applying for jobs are authorized to work in the US.

Now we just have to get the Government to start deporting illegal aliens are they trip over them.

"DREAM ACT" - Innocent Children? What about their Guilty Parents?

So out of all of the possible things Congress could do to start digging this country out of the mess it is in, the Democrats have decided to work on passing a mass amnesty bill for illegal aliens.

7:19pm ET: If you stepped away from CSPAN just now you missed a quick, stirring, strong speech from Texas Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee in support of the DREAM Act. She said:

These children have not broken they law. These are are not criminals. [Note: Bullshit] The only nightmare I can imagine is the nightmare of violating the rights of these individuals who want an opportunity to serve America. First of all they have to be in the country for five years already. And they cannot change their status for another ten years…Do we violate our rights and our beliefs about we all are created equal?

And so I ask my colleagues to support a DREAM Act that invests in America, that allows people to serve America. It is not amnesty. It is people wanting to serve this country, pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. Stand for what is right. Vote for the DREAM Act. Believe in our values. We are all created equal.

This is a scam, plain and simple. If this was about simply what the Democrats claim it to be, than the bill would would not have been written with some many crappy provisions in it, including the provisions that allow even criminal aliens to become legal under this proposed act, which is why I call BS Congresswoman Lee's comments above.

Also, keep in mind that by calling the children innocent, there is a guilty party the Democrats are ignoring, the parents of these illegal alien parents. The bill does nothing to punish the guilty party. Hell, the Democrats want to legalize them too. Hell, I might be party open to given these so-called victimless children a shot at legal status provided that their guilty parents are deported. After all, it is these parents that put both their children and us as a country in this position. Me, I say send them home. If their home countries are so bad than this is exactly what they need to reform, US-educated young adults to foster reform and improve living conditions back in their parents home. I do not see how we as a country need to be responsible for the bad behavior of others.

This position might seem heartless, however where do we draw the line? There are millions outside the country in need. how about the US instill it's laws and values on those third world countries? See, now I am evil for supporting an imperialistic America. however, look at the bright side if the US took over these countries:
The illegals will become legal residents

• They can come out of the shadows
• They will be free to move about the US
• They can go travel to and from home without having to sneak across the border
• Increased wages for those in the new territories due to minimum wage laws
• Compulsory free education for children
• Improved health care
  
• etc....
  

Again this bill is a scam. The 'Dream Act' is nothing more that the 'Anchor Baby Creation Act of 2010'.
