Suomenlinna Shipyard, Helsinki, Finland

Here are some photos of the old shipyard located on the island fortress of Suomenlinna, off Helsinki, Finland.

This last photo is of a drydock floating gate. It appears that this is for another drydock located elsewhere given the size of it.

Fred Fry said...: That might be becaue it is summer and all the ships stored for the winter have been launched, with a nice washout of the drydock when it was flooded. But surely it is nice and clean.; 6/11/2008 05:29:00 AM
