My Dad's Opinion of Sarah Palin

My dad is a true Red White and Blue Conservative Republican (and very ex long ago Democrat). when I hear of John McCain's pick for Vice President I like it but I did want to get my dad's opinion. His initial opinion was very positive. I just saw him this weekend and asked him how he felt now about the McCain/Palin ticket:
She is the type of woman that all real men like. She is independent, smart, knowledgeable, a leader and a hunter. What is there not to like about Sarah Palin?

She wears her balls on her chest.
There you go. He then went on to explain that the 'balls' comment was in relation to many of the Republicans in Congress who seem to have no balls for fighting the Democrats on earmarks, corruption, drilling (Think party of 10/20). Well basically much of anything. Well, there are a couple pro-porkbusters Congressmen out there but they are the exception. However, as a group they are a big disappointment.

As it so happens, my mom also likes her and is impressed that she managed to accomplish all that she has while raising four children with a recent fifth addition. She should know because she took on raising four children as a full-time job.

I hear that earmarks account for 1.5% of all federal spending. Shouldn't our candidates be addressing the real issues of government waste, rather than focusing on the small stuff?

Add to the new costs of our bailouts and the ongoing war that we didn't need to fight in iraq.

As for Ms. Palin - my governor - she's alright. She did okay with the state. She shouldn't be a heartbeat away from leading the free world, though. I mean think of it this way:

Ms. Palin lives in a state where foreign relationships matter. Alaska sits in advantageous position on the pacific rim. She got her passport in 2006. She's been to Canada and Mexico. She doesn't know what the bush doctrine is.

She nominated several of her childhood friends to the cabinet in Alaska. The director of agriculture had no experience; Palin said that as a child though, she "liked cows."

Boy, do I not want her a heartbeat away from leading the free world.

- It is this small stuff that leads to bigger problems. And you are talking about Billions of dollars in earmarks. your 1.5% comment is completely deceptive. New York City is a perfect example of attackng the small issues. They fought crime in the city by following up on even trivial crimes and that let to a massive reduction overall.

- Well Obama will be zero heartbeats away. He will be the heartbeat. He has less experience than her.

"She got her passport in 2006. She's been to Canada and Mexico. She doesn't know what the bush doctrine is."
- She got her passport in 2006. This is an issue? Your kidding right? The first job is at home. The former Mayor of Washington, DC is a well established global traveler. It didn't make him a better mayor though. As for the Bush doctrine answer, it has already been established that there is no one Bush doctrine. And as far as I can tell, Obama does not know what it is, and his current job is to be a balance against the power of the Executive Branch. His thought of good Government policy is to talk to our enemies unconditionally. That is not only naive, but dangerous.

"She nominated several of her childhood friends to the cabinet in Alaska. The director of agriculture had no experience; Palin said that as a child though, she "liked cows.""
- And Obama has a former terrorist . Ayers, as a guide.
- Anyway, show me where she has done anything improper?

Besides all this, he has already written 2 books and won a Grammy award at the age of 47.

Oh yeah, don't forget that he himself WON the Democratic Presidential Nomination...and the first African-American ever to do so by the way.

Palin, on the other hand was 'nominated' for the post of VP simply to rile up crowds of religious right wing nut-jobs like yourself. Any individual with the slightest bit of intelligence, sense of decency or patriotism for that matter would have rejected the invitation to be McCain's running mate. Which by the way has to be the most retarded and selfish decision that anyone could ever make. I often wonder if McCain himself has a conscience at all. When Roosevelt was elected to his fourth term, and he knew he might die before he completed it, he replaced his existing VP who had already served for 4 years and replaced him with Truman, hence leaving the fate of America and the free world in able hands. By that comparison, it is obvious that McCain is at best a self-serving, mentally unstable, arrogant fool, and at worst a traitor not only to the country but to the free world. Imagine what will happen if and when he dies and we're left with a President Palin (who I'm sure has no idea how the economy works or even where Iraq, Iran, Syria, Israel, Afghanistan, Pakistan Ukraine, Georgia, etc. are on the map. Gee I would love someone to ask her if she knows what the Poland Missile Shield is....hmm, and she talks about Putin rearing his head and Afghanistan being our neigbor...wow!!!)

She's just mind-numbingly stupid..... what is it anyway that you retarded conservatives like so much about dumb people anyone. Why the absolute rejection of the need for intelligence....even from the person who could be serving as your leader and commander-in-chief, responsible for your economic and physical well-being, and responsible for the security of your country and the very freedoms you enjoy. Why wouldn't you want a smart person even when we're talking about the top office in the land. Think about it..... it's only in your own interest to have a smart person as your President. Its another thing to you choose your town mayor based on who you'd be comfortable having a beer or coffee with. But here we're talking about serious issues with serious implications for the entire world, and for your very children and grand-children I might add.

What has Palin done wrong....hmm....you mean like besides the fact that every alternate sentence to emanate from her mouth is a complete lie, besides the fact that she abused her power to fire and hire people, besides the fact that she and her husband support the secession of Alaska from the US and besides the fact she is very obviously a demagogue, a bigot, a racist and a theocratic white-supremacist....gee i don't know.

"Obama: BA in Political Science and Interntional Relations from Columbia University (Ivy League)"
- Funny, even Obama is not proud of this accomplishment, refusing to release his transcript. Also, nobody other than his roommate remembers him.

Thanks for summarizing his career because there is even less there than I thought. He really is an empty suite. You did forget to list that he sued Citibank to give loans to people who couldn't pay them back.

"she abused her power to fire and hire people"
- Did you read that report? It confirmed the Governor's right to fire him.
"She's just mind-numbingly stupid..... what is it anyway that you retarded conservatives like so much about dumb people anyone."
- That's a real great way to win over people! The last thing this country needs is a neo-socialist like Obama. This is an election of ideology.

You might think that I am retarded like my conservative friends, but your messages scream moonbat!
