To add to my post from yesterday 'Bush Tax Cuts Are not the Problem, Spending is...'
What I am saying is that if we are going to add to our deficit by $35 billion, $95 billion, $100 billion, $700 billion, if that's the Republican agenda, then I've got a whole bunch of better ways to spend that money - President Obama (Via The Hill)
Of course he does. Hell, if given the chance, President Obama and his Democrat buddies have no end of 'better ways to spend your money'. The trick is, they have no plans of spending it on the people that they are taking the money from. Worse, they have no plans on spending this money on you either.
At least the President's words give good insight into how the President thinks. Basically he sees letting people keep their own income as Government spending. It is backwards and wrong. This money is owns and somehow we collectively decided to lets the idiots in control of the Government spend it on our behalf.

As for the number that the President is commenting on there above, while being large, they pall in comparison to the actual deficit total. As for the $700 billion cost the President mentions, that is the cost to extend the tax cuts for the rich for the next ten years. In comparison, 'The total deficit for fiscal year 2009 was $1.42 trillion'.
Government spending is a reckless joke. Look at all the money that has been spent and basically wasted. Just how much more needs to be spent before we all feel good? Me, all I am thinking about is my income tax going up at the end of the year and eating away any raise that I might have coming. It get worse given the tax on dividends will go up. There is nothing that the Government can do for me to compensate for the additional tax money they are going to seize from me. And frankly, I am not interested in having that money being used to help other people, like in the recent billions spent as called for by the President to save teachers jobs in a number of states. That for me is a state issue. If those states are willing to lay off teachers, firefighters, whoever, then that is their decision. If they want to keep them, then the state needs to figure out how to pay their salaries. It is asinine to force me to pay for teachers in another state in addition to paying for those here.

Sometimes I think that people really don't get it. You wake up everyday get your $5 starbucks, drive off in your car to go to a good job and yet you can't stop whining. You live in the richest nation in world, you have more then most people in the world could even imagine and you complain. SHUT THE FUCK UP! Pay your taxes and enjoy your freedoms. You whinning little prick
Hmm. I think you are the one who does not get it. So what if I have more than most people in the world? That is a problem of their Governments. Maybe the US should annex those poor countries and bring our standards (and wealth) to them.
The US is a rich country specifically because wealth generators like myself complain. Earning money does not give others the right to stick their hand in my pocket and take from me.
Government, at least in the US, is based on representation of and by the people. Your comment to tell me to STFU simply shows your ignorance of the history of the US, whose birth is based in a revolt over abusive taxation as well as the basic fact that it is my right to speak out.
The fact that you are so pissed off tags you as a liberal and probably moody one at that.
BTW, I have no idea what a Starbucks coffee costs. I can;t remember the last time I saw the inside of one. I have better things to spend my money on.
You know Fred your right I should not be telling you to STFU. You do have the right to believe and express what ever you chose. I just don't think you are choosing to express well thought out arguments or ideas. I think if you really sit down and dissect the issues we face as a country today you might gain some clarity. Stop and think about something other then your pocket. Turn off Fox News and work through some of the issues we have going in these country and ask yourself what you would do. And please come up with some realistic ideas.
Fred I believe that the world has changed. While we were fuckin off living the good life at number one. We took our eyes off the ball and someones picked it up and learned how to play. Now we are starting to realize that we need to get back in the game. You may think that your pocket is the big issue and you can continue to believe that iif you like but I assure we have bigger issues. We need to come together as a country and address our short falls in education, innovation and address our issues with unity. You spoke earlier about history of this country. Think of a time in history when we as a country have been so divided on how to move forward? I can think of one time and it was not our brightest moment. Alright I am kinda preaching more then anything else but that's my piece and my apology for the STFU comment.
