Democrats Have The Most To Lose in a New Orleans Hurricane Strike

So, the leadership (or former leader) of the Democratic Party thinks having a hurricane wipe New Orleans off the map during the Republican Convention is a great thing for his Presidential candidate.
Here's yet another of the "compassionate, level-headed, classy" Democrats taking a cue from the clouds of pollution escaping from Michel Moore's obese piehole and wishing a hurricane to hit the US so that the Democrats can...gain some kind of political advantage by the death, destruction and tragedy. - Jawa Report, including a h/t for the video below

And he is not the only one.  So does the hero of the Democrat Party, Michael Moore:
“I was just thinking, this Gustav is proof that there is a God in heaven,” Moore said, laughing. “To have it planned at the same time – that it would actually be on its way to New Orleans for day one of the Republican Convention, up in the Twin Cities – at the top of the Mississippi River.” - Business and Media
These complete asses better be careful what they wish for.

Do they really want to remind the country with fresh scenes of (mainly Democrats) helping themselves to other people's property with massive looting? This time they won't be able to play the victim card given that everyone is being ordered out and this time they even remembered to use all the buses they have. And this time they will not have video from the Superdome of desperate evacuees to counterbalance the images of locals looting and wilding in the city.

Also, the country will be reminded that New Orleans and Louisiana is run by Democrat politicians, and a direct hit on New Orleans will trigger more press over how much Federally-funded Katrina reconstruction aid money was wasted.

Also, everyone will also be reminded of the massive amount of fraud, waste and abuse was committed by 'victims' who received aid money:
Debit cards issued by FEMA to cover emergency expenses, the GAO reported, were frequently used for purchases ``that did not appear to meet legitimate disaster needs." Like diamond jewelry. And fireworks. And season tickets to the New Orleans Saints, a bottle of champagne at Hooters, $300 worth of ``Girls Gone Wild" videos, and a Caribbean vacation. And that doesn't include the 381 debit cards, worth $762,000, that FEMA lost. - Boston.com
(These are the same people who claim to have no money to purchase photos ID for voting.)

And these are probably going to be the same people demanding more money this time around.

And maybe this time people will notice all those flooded cars in a city that was full of people who claimed that they couldn't afford a car.

So, the Democrats might want to rethink whether they want New Orleans to be a disaster or not. I doubt the country is going to be half as sympathetic as they were last time as last time they could have claimed ignorance. This time they have no excuse.

One of the complaint's Barack Obama has about the Republicans is that we don't care:
For over two decades, he’s subscribed to that old, discredited Republican philosophy — give more and more to those with the most and hope that prosperity trickles down to everyone else. In Washington, they call this the Ownership Society, but what it really means is you’re on your own. Out of work? Tough luck. No health care? The market will fix it. Born into poverty? Pull yourself up by your own bootstraps — even if you don’t have boots. You’re on your own. - Politico
Well these people were at least given the opportunity to get boots or whatever they needed to be able to 'pull themselves up by their bootstraps'.  Not only that, but a good number of them helped themselves to boots and everything else they could get their hands on. The rest of us are tired of hearing that nothing is their fault. It is one thing to provide aid to someone who needs it. It is another thing to pay people off year after year, mainly in exchange for votes.

These Democrats should be concerned in another way. Every death in New Orleans is one less vote for their candidate...  For me, I just hope that everyone heeds the warning and order to leave the city.  People who stay in New Orleans not only risk their own lives, but also the lives of those who may be asked to come and rescue them later on.
